CODTL is looking for a Senior Media Production Assistant
The Center for Open and Digital Teaching and Learning (CODTL) Education Media Production (EMP) unit is looking for a Senior Media Production Assistant with strong skills in video editing, production, and post-production to support the development of educational multimedia content for UPOU Networks and related platforms.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, creative, and capable of managing the full video workflow — from editing and motion graphics to accessibility integration and final delivery.
Salary Grade: 11 + 20% Premium
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit and enhance educational videos, ensuring clear visuals, sound, and pacing.
- Add captions, transcripts, and audio versions to make materials accessible.
- Assist in recording and filming lectures, interviews, and webinars.
- Create graphics, title cards, and thumbnails for video content.
- Upload and organize materials on UPOU Networks with correct tags and details.
- Assist in production of webinars and online events.
- Contribute ideas and improvements for accessibility and media quality.
- Research new editing tools and production techniques.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Communication, Multimedia Arts, Film, IT, or related fields).
- At least 1 year of experience in video production or post-production.
- Skilled in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects; knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva is an advantage.
- Familiarity with captioning, transcription, and accessibility tools.
- Creative, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Must have a portfolio or sample works.
